Join Yale Alumni for Macbeth at the Metropolitan Opera with private talk back by director Louisa Proske MFA '12

Dear fellow alumni, friends & family: After ten years of our annual Yale Alumni Association Board of Governors' socials with Broadway and ballet, we are going to the opera! Join us and YaleWomen on October 20th for the final performance of Macbeth, with an exclusive talkback with Louisa Proske MFA '12, whose brilliant direction is making waves around the world. Macbeth is Verdi’s thrilling take on the immortal Shakespearean tale of the scheming couple determined to seize power at any cost. This production stars two of opera’s most extraordinary artists: Quinn Kelsey is the Scottish king haunted by the ghosts of his murderous ascent to the throne, and Lise Davidsen—the world’s reigning dramatic soprano—portrays the power-mad Lady Macbeth, whose ruinous ambition damns them both. Rounding out the all-star cast are tenor Freddie De Tommaso as the heroic Macduff and bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green as Macbeth’s friend-turned-victim Banquo, all conducted by Met Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin. Please reserve and pay your tickets ASAP. When you select a ticket type and the number of tickets you would like to purchase, you will see a message (as well as receiving a confirmation email) directing you how to pay Billy via Zelle or Venmo. This reduces otherwise substantial processing fees for you. The best seats within each section will be assigned in the order of purchase. Tickets will be distributed outside the theater on the night of the performance by Billy & Xiaoyan.
